Splash screen remains on screen

I’ve been using the latest release of Lightburn for a while and have been ignoring this problem, but I thought I’d see if there was a solution.

When I minimize Lightburn on my Windows 11 laptop it leaves a splash screen covering icons I need to use. Is there any way to remove or disable it?

I’ve never seen that before and is atypical.

Are you saying that screen persists the entire time you’re using the application? Does it go away when you close LightBurn?

I see 3 LightBurn related icons on the desktop. What do they do?

Also, when was the last time you rebooted the system?

It is there as long as Lightburn is running and disappears when it is closed.

One launches Lightburn, one launches the Lightburn software forum, and the third opens a template grid that I use to design new projects so I can place them in the correct area on my laser for cutting and engraving. The laser bed has the same template engraved on it.

Rebooted yesterday, but it does not seem to make any difference. I’ve been trying to avoid an uninstall / re-install, but that may be the only option.

Ok. I was wondering if you potentially had multiple versions of LightBurn installed.

I’d suggest just installing over the current install.

Thanks for the suggestion. I didn’t think a re-install over the existing version would work, but the splash screen is gone. An easy fix and all settings retained.
