Im using the Neje Max 4 and extended the machine and now the bottom of text are a bit squished.
What am I missing?
No, the entire text is squished. The hole in the “9” should be oval, not round.
Did you change ANY GRBL parameters, and if so, which ones? Your X and Y travel is not synchronized. burn a square of about 100mm and measure the result.
100 on the x, 98.43 on the y.
That can come from mechanical backlash in the Y axis, due to anything from a loose setscrew in the motor belt pulley to slightly slack belts to badly assembled hardware with stripped screws.

Your laser will be different, but the components are similar and the mechanical problems pretty much identical.
