You cannot override the start point, but you can move it using the Node Tool.
I use the router professionally, it’s a big waste of time to have to put a start point in each design separately. The table is 77*110 cm 60-70 designs at a time.

A process can require a specific starting point - or not. We don’t need to know the specifics if they are not offered.

When cutting from right to left, place the starting point on the right ( without bridges ), the piece will not be thrown out by the tool when cutting. The same applies vice versa.
