Start Program vs. Send Program

This inquiry may have a very simple answer, though we are interested if anybody knows if there is a significant difference or benefit from running the artwork directly from the LightBurn Controller “Start” button rather than the “Send” button. “Start” seems to run the artwork nearly immediately from the computer and “Send” downloads the file to the laser itself prior to manually selecting and running the file via Ruida controller. Any insight on this matter would be appreciated!

Start vs Send on Wifi

“Send” just sends the file to the laser. “Start” sends it as a temporary (unnamed) file, and the laser begins running the job when “enough” data has arrived. (I’m not sure what counts as “enough” in this case - it’s up to the hardware). If you are sending a job that has photo engraving, or high-speed engraving, those can take a decent amount of CPU horsepower to execute the job, and receiving the file also requires CPU time.
