Steps per mm creality falcon 10 watt

My x steps mm ($100)

My y steps mm ($101)

Would this cause my circles to look like lemons
Trying hard to figure why svg don’t work properly
but PNG do

Hello Laura,

The standard default $100 and $101 should be 80

Having Rotary mode could also cause the problem

However - given that images engrave well and vectors don’t, high probability is a belt tension issue on the Y Axis

Try engraving this file and post a picture please

Here is a picture of what my machine engraved using the file that was sent

Ok so as you can see you have a issue on your hardware

The Y axis movements are not correct

Did you check your belts, and the Y axis sprocket?

So not sure how to do this🙃

Take a couple images of your laser - some upclose images of your belts so we can take a look please

The belts look loose so you have to loosen the 2 small nuts and PULL tight on the belts, on both sides of the belts. This might be a task that someone helping would really make it easier.

The belts must be flat and tight

Hi, I am sharing a video reference to aid you better. The portion from 2:00 to 3:18 shows how assembly the belts, it is a similar procedure to tighten them also.

CR-Laser Falcon Engraver Unboxing & Installation

As @gilaraujo rightly mentioned for the Y axis:

  1. Use an Allen key to loosen the two T shaped boat nuts at the back of the laser module and remove boat nuts by sliding them.
  2. Pull the belt to stretch it such that the belts are flat and do not form loops or waves
  3. while stretching the belt insert the two T shaped boat nuts back into the frame and tighten them using an Allen Key.
  4. Do this for both belts on either sides and your Y axis is now sorted.

Let me know if you need help with the X axis as well.

Thank you so much tightening fixed it
