Still got Z issues

on starting MM always home, if i do any framing etc always rehome before starting job , once clicking start , z goes almost to bottom and than goes back to home before running probe etc. when i have thicker material on the downwards the tool would hit material , what i have done in previous RCs

is home all axis , move /jog z down 25 mm , click zero work piece Z, than start job ,

1st command in job is always a tool change probe and never had issues of diving or not even touching material when job start

did the above couple days ago RC 12 and on start, tool dove into work piece , stopped clicked home on job control than start again z downed 25mm than up than started , same thing happened 3 times , on 4th try the tool started job about 8mm above job which is my retraction height was on same material , as it was rubbish after the 1st dive from start :frowning:

this seems to be the same issue with my last few post i have put up

and every time i do tool change it either dives into material or doesn’t cut correct depth.

the amount of material ruined has now become depressing, especially as i do a lot of timber slab work which you cant just pop down to local store and replace like for like

i now only do one operation , than save job close mm restart run next operation - repeat, im actually to scared to run a full job now will up load couple photos latter when i go out to shed

this file the symbol cut fine after tool change , i didnt notice it had buried so deep as had dust shoe on wasnt till it moved to wards 2nd letter did i see it as it ripped through the material

i also noticed lately that after tool change sometimes Z slowly descend on way to start point, as x and y are travelling
