Stops running about 10 seconds in at the most

Diode laser, will frame no problem, then when I run it, it stops about 10 seconds in. Checked all connections

Is this with every program or just one?
Running one program, is it in the same place every time?

different places. I have only tried it with Lightburn, and laserGRBL. I thought it was a loose connection but I fixed the plug. USB cable doesnt seem to affect it.
i have an older model of the same Two trees laser. Still a 5.5 diode. Works fine but has older control board and no wifi.

Its funny it has a laser crosshair that is always on

Is this a new issue or has it been a problem all along?

Another possibility is a weak power supply. This can be tested by running slower with less laser power.

Only TwoTrees can tell you if that is normal. Some machines turn it off when the laser is on.

Thanks, I have a feeling thats the problem, i dont think the power supply is the one that came with it. I dont think its 4 amps. This one says 1amp. Ill try running on low power and see what happens.

Not much doubt here. There is no way you can run a 5w diode laser with a 12w (12v, 1a) power supply.

Im running something now at 1000 speed 20 % and its running just fine, or so it seems, Ill go get myself an adequate power supply.
Thanks so much! I realy apprecite it.
YUP it stopped printing.

But it kept running longer, right?

Get a 6a or 7a supply. You will hurt nothing and will have plenty of reserve power while running.

I found a 1.8 amp and its working pretty good at high power. Ill get a better one though. Thanks!
You dont know how many days Ive been trying to work out this problem!
