Does anyone use a Stream Deck as part of their Lightburn setup or for wider things connected with your lasering? I’ve been thinking of getting one, whether it’s to work with Lightburn or for other jobs I have to do on my computer related to my laser business.
I have a steamdeck XL I never thought about mixing Lightburn with it!

Doesn’t it just generate keystrokes to the computer?

It’s basically the same, I think. I’m using it more than I expected, though I don’t use many functions, I think four buttons would have been enough
Gamers who stream use this device a lot . It can me used for other things as well

I’ve just ordered one, it was on special offer with Amazon. I’m hoping to use it with Lightburn, but also for other things in my workshop and my small laser business. I like the fact that it can insert blocks of text which will be handy as I often have to send similar emails to customers. I’m also hoping I can get it to work with my Brother QL printers to open a particular label, as I use a wide variety of product and posting labels.
It will be interesting to see what it can do.
Which one did you get? Regular or XL?

Yep! I have a LightBurn keyset
I would be interested in what Lightburn functions you are using the Stream Deck for.
I’ve gone for the 15 button version.
I dont use mine for Lightburn, but i do use it for Cad work. I would be interested in how people set one up for Lightburn.

Assign the hotkey combinations for LightBurn features to keys. Enable keyset when LightBurn.exe is active.
Just FYI:
If you have an old tablet or smartphone that is not of use anymore, you can also create a kind of stream deck, using a macro tool.
Some guys already created a package including everything, you can see it in action here:
I tested it, and it worked quite well (minimal latency etc.). Though, I have my small shortcut keyboard, that’s why I don’t use the macro tool.
I’ve got your project linked on my PC and I plan to build it eventually, but do you have a link to this macro tool (in english, I don’t speak Italian unfortunately)?
Looks like he has a bi-lingual form where he will send you the macro for a small contribution
Thank you Sas, I eventually stumbled across it. I’m just trying to decide whether it’s worth $21 to give it a try. Perhaps misken could elaborate on his experience with using it. I tried Spacedesk console, which worked, but everything was so small (I was using a 10" tablet) it was hard to use.
I will try to do a short video. It’s on my list, but I didn’t make it yet Maybe I can do it within the next days
