Sub Layers Not applying in the correct order

I see there have been a couple other threads about this no resolutions that I could find.

I am on Version 1.4

I am using 1 Layer with 2 sub layers. 1st is a engraving pass, 2nd is a cleaning pass. The 2nd always seems to go first, or sometimes it will do it correctly then the next job backwards.

You’re saying for repeated runs of the exact same job that it’s flipping order? I’ve never heard of this and LightBurn should be completely deterministic in how it derives this.

Or are you saying that in different design files that it works in one way and in the other it works in another way?

If the latter, can you upload 2 sets of .lbrn files that demonstrate this?

If the former, can you further elaborate on what the conditions are? Is there anything at all that’s changing between runs?

Also, can you take a screenshot of your Optimization Settings from Laser window?

Once I am done this current job I will attempt to reproduce.

My optimization settings are default. Never adjusted them.

Nothing changes it’s with in the same file even. It has driven me totally bonkers.

No I just realized I was designing on V 1.4 and my fiber machine was 1.2.xxx so maybe that was part of it.

Will test and report back. I have upgraded to 1.4 on my fiber machine

A number of bugs were fixed in sub layers since 1.2, including a few ordering oddities, so running the older version is most likely the issue.
