Sudden homing and/or limit switch problem

Had my machine for over a year and it’s only just started having an issue with homing on the Y axis. The switches seem to be working so I’m at a loss. I’ve recorded a limit of me pressing the switch and it working and then another of me trying to home it.

I can’t think of what’s changed if the limit switch itself works.

My best guess from the video is that you are actuating the lever more by finger than it is actuated when it hits the frame (or end stop). It seems your switch needs to be moved slightly forward.

With the power off, actuate the switch with your finger. You will hear it click. Slowly move the gantry forward by hand until you hear the same sound or it reaches the mechanical limit. If no click, you found your problem.
