Surface Pro 9 not detecting laser

I have an older Windows laptop running Windows 10 and a newer Surface Pro 9 running Windows 11. I have a 55W OMTech and an 80W OMTech Pro. Both computers are running latest LightBurn 1.7.x. Both computers have FTDI drivers installed

The older laptop recognizes both lasers automatically without any issues, however the surface does not recognize either laser automatically and even when I try to manually configure the laser devices the surface device is unable to communicate with the laser. Has anyone else run into this issue? Are there specific settings I need to change? Is this an issue with USB-C on the surface device?

USB-C is always a showstopper for those old USB chips used on most boards. Try to use a converter cable to USB-A or try to put a USB-hub in between. This helps in most cases.
