I am new to this so, i have no idea what settings to look at.

can someone help me, what the problem could be and maby what setting i should check.

Thx…

Hello and welcome to the forum!

To clarify what is happening, you are changing the size of an SVG file in LightBurn. So far you’ve tried changing the shape size to 200mm and 400mm and both times the file came out as 30mm?

This suggests to me that the Ruida controller was processing the same exact file. Are you certain you aren’t accidentally cutting the first file twice?

Please describe your process of exporting the file for your laser and selecting it from the controller, as it sounds like you aren’t simply sending it via USB or ethernet. Are you using an SD card?

If you use the ‘Find my Laser’ button to create the device profile and you are connected to your laser, LightBurn will read the settings from your laser’s controller. I suspect once LightBurn knows your machine settings, you will be able to export correctly sized files.

Hi.

Thank you for your response. I have tried the suggestions you provided, but I am still experiencing issues.

I have a CO2 laser from China, which I have upgraded to a K40. The problem is that it only burns near the edges of the X/Y axes, and I receive a “Hard Limit” error on the Y axis. Even when I place the photo in the middle of the plate, it only burns at the sides of the X/Y axes.

I am wondering if this issue might be related to the stepper motor, as it currently only runs with the LIHUIYU CO2 Laser Controller M2 Nano.

Could you please help me troubleshoot this error? Any additional settings or configurations I should check?

Thank you for your assistance.

Best regards,
Jette

This does not match the machine or controller in your profile, so help us help you by being very clear about what type of machine you have, which controller it’s using, and how it’s connected to your PC.

The problem almost certainly has nothing to do with the stepper motor or LightBurn. Upload the *lbrn2 file with the photo & your settings, plus pictures of the result.
