SVG Thumbnails not showing

When i get svg thumbnails it only shows me the lightburn logo
In order to see the svg i gave to open it in LB and save it then it shows as a lbn file
How do i fix this

SVG files are usually opened with a web browser.

But you can simply Drag and Drop:
Simply drag the SVG file into an open web browser window (like Chrome, Firefox, Safari, or Edge)

Or right click on the file and click on Open With. Then select your Web Browser and it should open. That way you wont have to drag and drop every time you open an SVG file

Apparently, showing SVG previews with Windows 10 or 11 requires installing a third of a gigabyte of Microsoft PowerToys:

(That looks like AI-generated blather optimized for SEO, so an ad blocker is mandatory.)

A reboot, some run-as-Admin action, embiggening the icons, a little hokey-pokey, and then It Just Works™:

Would this be associating the SVG with a particular browser? Mine are EDGE’d and I just get that icon. Of course, double-click opens it up just fine.

Beats me; I don’t do Windows hardly at all. I vaguely recall doing something after setting that up, but it may have just been one of those mandatory reboots.

Yuu dont need to view items in large or extra large size in thumbnail preview. In windows explorer change View to List or Details and see if that corrects the issue. I have both win 10 and 11 and have never had to install anything extra to view svg files.

The File Explorer add-ons in PowerToys enables thumbnails for SVGs and even STL files.
This works for me regardless of the default app for SVGs

@CoastieBob you may want to disable this setting in the Explorer options so you see the filename extensions:
