I have a profile built for my galvo and a profile built for my DSP (Ruida). Maybe I am confused on how this works between the two but it seems the color pallet is not unique per device profile? Also I cant seem to find some of my settings like having engraves done before cuts it seems to be doing my cuts first even though they are in a layer below the engrave.
This is my first time combineing these two machines into one computer and one version of lightburn.
Also I seem to be having some interesting issues where it keeps wanting to turn on the rotary for my DSP even if I turn it off in machine settings it turns it right back on no rotary connected. It seems to function fine engraving and cutting but I do not remember doing this before
Also I am running 1.7.03 and get interesting “unresponsive” notifications when switching between windows. This is on Win10 Pro, i5-6500T CPU 2.50GHz 16GB RAM, the only things open are Chrome and Lightburn.
Color is for layers and is the same for all lasers using Lightburn.
I have a galvo and a Ruida (plus some others) and I don’t have an issue with the rotary being enabled.
As a guess, I’d say the rotary was likely enabled when you created the profile, as a guess. Only someone from Lightburn could probably give you specifics on how this works…I’ve never had an issue.
You library settings are associated with a device. I have multiple devices and multiple libraries. Usually when I set the device, the proper library of engrave/cut is loaded also.
Thanks for clarification on the colors it sounds like I need to change my workflow a bit with two machines on the same software. Before I was using the colors as part of what I was doing as well ie red was cut, black engrave, blue stroke etc it looks like I am going to have to rely more on the save materials library and less on the settings saved in the color as obviously they are very different between the two machines.
