Taper Warp tool for rotary engraving

Hi everyone! I am excited about the new Taper Warp tool for my tapered glassware engravings. I have a quick question regarding measurements needed. Does the Length (L) represent height of the object OR the length of the sidewall from bottom to top of glass (essentially the hypotenuse of the triangular shape of the glass)?

When I tried it, I used the length of the glass. You still have to size of your image for the coverage you want of the glass.

Thanks Mike! That looks good in terms of warp correction. What is “length of glass” in your case? Are you measuring from tabletop to top of glass (as in height) or the sloped length (hypotenuse) of the glass?

This is a great question. Thank you for asking. I couldn’t discern the answer from our documentation. I have asked the documentation team for clarification. I will let you know as soon as I have confirmation.

Table top to top of glass.
But lets see what John comes up with.
Table top to top worked for me. (vertical)

If it is height (and I think it is) maybe on the next update change the wording to height instead of length.

Thanks so much, John! I love the quick response and willingness to get the team involved for clarification is much appreciated. I’ll stay tuned for your response. Have a good one!

Thanks again, Mike! I’ll keep what you said in mind (height is length) and see what John and the team respond with.

Great idea, Mike! It would clear things up for users and yield better results on first try.

And one more thing I forgot to mention, John. Can you ask the team if the top and bottom diameter plus height should be measured of the whole glass/cup or just where the graphics will be placed? Most of my graphics are placed on the upper third of large Pilsner glasses, for example, and I am wondering if that’s where I should be measuring those parameters.
