Text and layer Question 1.
I have 28 layers, each of which has its own setup, each assigned its own shape
Each shape is set to “Fill”
Now I have to write a text that has the same setting as the shape the text belongs to, but Mode must be line.
How do I do it ?
Question 2.
If I have 3 shapes, each with its own unique layer, and now draw a new shape. How do I choose one of the 3 existing layers for the new one I have drawn?
I’m not fully following what you mean, “text that has the same setting as the shape the text belongs to”. Line mode has very different “settings” from those provided with the Fill mode, so might be best to share a bit more about the project details. What are you wanting to accomplish? Sharing a bit more might provide an opportunity for us to offer suggested workflows to achieve your goals.
With the newly drawn shape selected, click the layer color from the Color Palette, unless moved, found at the lower-left of the main LightBurn window. This will assign that shape to the desired layer you choose.
If you look at the picture
I want the “shape” (Layer C25) to be total “Fill”
and that the text must be with the same setting, but not “Fill” but “Line”
What settings in particular are you wanting to have the same for both your text and the filled shape? A Fill, sweeps back and forth, turning the laser on and off to process, where Line mode follows the contours of the shape when producing. There are different considerations and settings for each. Help me understand what settings you are referring to, and we can assist you further from there.
As a side, this looks like a material / cut testing pattern for your laser. If I am not too far off, you may want to have a closer look at this to help,
