I have added multiple instances of text to a project on my desktop pc. Some are single line and some multi-line. I then same the project to a memory stick and use it load the project into my laptop which controls my xtool d1 pro. When I open the project in my laptop all the text entries are vertical mirrored; i.e. the original upright text is gone and all that is left is the mirror image.
The project also contains an imported svg. It remains upright… I have verified(via phone image) that the settings in Edit/Settings and Edit/Device Settings are identical between the desktop and the lap top.
AS expected, if I correct the text on the laptop so I can burn my project and then save the project and go back and load it into the desktop, the text is mirrored again. It has to be a simple fix but I don’t know what it is…
Both desktop and laptop are running LB 1.6.03
How about those 4 little Origin buttons in the device Settings window?
the same on both computers. Besides, I would think that if they were different maybe the image would be mirrored also but it’s not.
Brain tired. Let me think about this one.
Start with both PCs using the same settings:
What settings are you talking about since in my original post I stated that the contents of “Settings” and “Device Settings” in Lightburn were identical?
There may be a setting that you’re missing between the 2 computers. Maybe try the Bundles feature. File> Bundles> Export Bundle. Then select what items you wish to sync and import on the other computer.
You know they’re identical and I know they’re identical, but the symptoms suggest the PCs don’t know they’re identical.
It could be something else entirely, but pretty nearly all such problems Go Away after forcing both PCs to have the same settings.
I tried the bundle thing and it made no difference.
It was worth a try.
Save the Lightburn file from the good PC. In the bad PC, put a tiny circle off the workarea so it will see a change and ask you to save it.
Post both files in your answer. Maybe we can see a slight difference in them. Or maybe not.
I made a new file of just one line of text and no imported svg and the text stayed upright on both computers. I went back ti the file that has the image and my original problem is still there. Then I loaded a different project that had an image and text and it was correct on both computers. Then I reloaded my problem project and now it is magically the same on both computer. The text is upside down but I think I can fix it.
I went ahead and corrected 3 lines of text to make it right side up on the laptop and then loaded it into the desktop and it was correct.
So it appears to be working correctly now but I don’t know precisely what cleared it up. The bundle function probably had something to do with it even though I had the settings I could see the same but that didn’t correct it. It didn’t straighten up until after I did the text only project then another text and graphic project.
I thank those that responded and hope that in the not too distant future I’ll be able to help someone here. But I will have to hurry because I’m 79 years old with 31 years of heart problems. LOL
