The laser will not change from one layout to another!
I need help, please!
I drew a 100 mm x 100 mm square with the intention of drawing one line horizontally and another vertically through the center. My goal was to make it easy to find the center of my work.
So, in Lightburn, I laid out three squares, each measuring 100 mm x 100 mm.
I squeezed one square together until it formed a horizontal line, then I squeezed the second square to create a vertical line and moved both lines into the third square, resulting in four equal small squares inside one large square.
However, when I turned on the laser in frame mode, it only moved from right to left and back again! I tried different methods to fix it, but Lightburn would not change the direction of the laser head at all; it keeps moving back and forth!
My laser is an Atomstack A20 Pro, and I have also included the readings from the console.
[HLP:$$ $+ $# $S $L $G $I $N $x=val $Nx=line $J=line $SLP $C $X $H $F $E=err ~ ! ? ctrl-x] One more thing. LB is not finding my laser, even when I put it in manualy!
I think contorting the geometry like that causes problems, because LightBurn knows you want a rectangle / square, no matter how much it looks like a line, and strange things may happen.
You can also duplicate a single square using the Grid Array tool to get the geometry you want, but you should then select Remove overlapping lines to avoid burning each part of the crosshair twice.
This is because you selected the squeezed line instead of the square.
To find the center of a square or rectangle, draw the lines diagonal corner to corner. Also put these reference lines on a Tool Layer (T1 or T2) and uncheck the Frame button.
Hi, yes, I realized that afterwards, and I also remembered that I had used the line tools before. Being in a hurry and not thinking sometimes gets you into trouble. Right now, I hope I haven’t damaged anything! And hopefully, somebody here can help me out.
Hi, the drawing I made is gone; I did not save it. I got the readout from the console, this is all I get when I try to use the laser beam.

Thanks.
Problem solved ! It couldn’t be any easier !!! I read to set it to factory settings (LB), somewhere online, and it did the trick!
I thank you all for your time, I really appreciate knowing that there is a lot of help in this forum.
Hi Mike, I don’t know if you got the answer from the email, you head send to me, or not?
I just want to let you know, my problem is solved!! In FB I refreshed the settings to factory reset and everything works fine ever since.
Thanks for your time and have a good day!
