After all checks made, Hello again,
Strange thing when the s30 is off and completely disconnected from the socket and the pc, moving the head on the 2 axes produces the lighting of a red led at the place of the plug, then if I reconnect the 2 taken, but still machine off, it connects and disconnects from the pc.
That’s normal. If you move the motors too fast, they produce power that is fed back into the mainboard. This is dangerous, it can destroy the board. So, every time you move the laser head, do it very SLOW.
It doesn’t depend on the age of the laser. The mechanics have to be tuned especially at a new device. Did you check every step from the maintenance guide?
Sounds like a common problem with a loose power cable.
This is acutally a very common problem with Sculpfun lasers. Though - they are not loosening over time but they are not tightened well from factory. I get reports/problems with these almost daily at the Facebook groups.
MERCIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII
THANKSIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII
The result is frankly better even if we still have small vibrations…
Hello everyone,
To obtain this result I followed the advice of Melvin. I re-tightened the belts, checked the right angles, tightened the grub screws, reassembled the head carriage, and noticed that the thin bar on the axle that attaches to the gear of the right belt was loose.
