There are many types of not-round. Not-round can have one or more causes.

Your settings look ok overall, though you could optimize them. But your issues look like mechanical issues. The laser is not set up perfectly from the factory, you need to tune it yourself. I suggest following all the guides listed here: Quick Start & Overview - Diode Laser Wiki These guides are made specially for Sculpfun lasers, so you should find many tips there.
And another note: the 20W laser is not made for engraving / cutting very small pieces. It has a lot of cutting power, but less precision. If you want to do things like earrings a lot, I highly recommend using a 10W laser.
Bonjour, merci de votre réponse mais en fait, qund j’ai reçu mon laser, j’ai lancé les découpes jaunes sans règlages précis sauf la puissance et la vitesse. Je trouvais le résultat plus que satisfaisant. Par contre, les plaquettes écrites que j’ai lancé après avoir installer la license et que j’ai lancé les plaquettes blanches de 5 cm écrites en police unifilaire, les résultats étaient catastrophiques. J’ai filmé plusieurs séquences dans lesquelles ont voit le problème. Qu’est-ce qui a changé entre les deux? Uniquement l’installation de la license. J’ai lu la doc du laser et fait les réglages préconisés mais pas de changement.
Hello, thank you for your answer but in fact, when I received my laser, I launched the yellow cuts without precise adjustments except the power and the speed. I found the result more than satisfactory. On the other hand, the written pads that I launched after installing the license and that I launched the 5 cm white pads written in single-line font, the results were catastrophic. I filmed several sequences in which we saw the problem. What has changed between the two? Only installing the license. I read the laser doc and made the recommended settings but no change.
You should check the mechanics anyhow. Screws can get loose over time. A laser needs much maintenance to run smoothly. Adding a license should not have any influence on the result.
Aside from the very small chance that a securing screw (‘set screw’ or ‘grub screw’) shook loose in one of the belt pulleys or sprockets, it appears that the speed is causing ‘lost motion’ or the ‘overscan’ is instructing the laser engrave head to hit the rails. Moving the art away from the edges of the work space a little bit further may help.
You can rapidly recover all your previous settings and eliminate this as a question.
As a precaution, please screen-capture the Cuts / Layers window in LightBurn with a screen capture tool. This link offers helpful advice on screen capture.
Another precaution worth taking is exporting the current ‘preferences’ so no settings are lost while we make changes. In LightBurn, click File, click Export Prefs and save your current settings with an easy to remember name.
To prepare to import your previous settings, click File and click New and save your project, or Open LightBurn without a project.
With no project, click ‘File’, then click ‘Import Prefs’ then import an .lbprefs file from when LightBurn was working well for you. The developers included the date in the file name to make this easy. If you do not see files with an extension that is .lbprefs please do a direct search for them in Local Disc (C:) in Windows.
You may reverse this by re-importing the settings you recently saved.

J’ai corrigé la tension des courroies, remonté la tête sur le chassis en ajoutant de la hauteur sous le matériaux à graver et en préservant les 50mm de focus. Je vais lancer un nouvel essai. J’ai également testé 2 programmes lightburn et lasergrbl afin de vérifier que ce soit bien la machine qui a un souci. J’ai nettoyé la tête et la lentille.

I corrected the tension of the belts, raised the head on the frame by adding height under the material to be engraved and preserving the 50mm of focus. I will start a new test. I also tested 2 lightburn and lasergrbl programs to verify that it is the machine that has the problem. I cleaned the head and the lens.
