How do i get thicker lines in the letters

A recent discussion involving thousands of fonts suggests there must be one out there with chunkier letterforms better suited for laser engraving… 
A simple solution may be deeper cut depending on the bit being used.
Offset a little the text and set to fill mode.
Multimode machine?
You can also create effects by varying some text options ( eg.:Hspace in the lowercase letters after text offset and FillMode )
