Amazon.co.uk : rod 2 start 8mm)
cheers was come back on. I just found some on e-bay was looking in the wrong seen got 2 x 500 mm for £11.00 each will check amazon now
These depend on the bearings, so the pitch and groves/mm may be an issue. There is nothing standard here, just beware.
I bought two of these kits to both lengthen, and (with some modifications) widen my 3018 PRO. There is also a bed extension kit as well. My machine is now more like a 4040. I’m not sure if any of this is available in the UK. I went this route because I was having difficulty finding the ones, as Jack states, with the right pitch. YMMV
You also have to account for guide rod and lead screw dimensions loads torsion rigidity etc.
I believe there are some calculators online:

I know i got the wrong one today from Amazon send it back tomorrow it Was Trapeziodal" thread they sent matched it another wasn’t mentioned on the sellers site, So I need to start again and again I know its T8 1mm pitch ?
That seems like a low pitch.
The leadscrew for my 3018 was 2 mm pitch and two start, for a 4 mm lead:
The Wikipedia page tells more about lead, pitch, and start:
Perhaps your machine has 1 mm pitch and 4 starts?
I extended the axis much as you have and discovered it’s possible to produce (and buy!) a leadscrew with a slightly incorrect pitch:
Plan on checking the axis calibration before you do anything critical.
I thought was 1mm but i must have been right when i got the 2mm today that im sending back its just the thread I got wrong it seems …
