Time estimate fails for multi-pass burns

It seems that if I am using multiple burn passes the time estimate assumes only single-pass burns, see the attached screen shot which is halfway through the job and shows negative time left.

What about one pass jobs, does it fit then? I guess that it also doesn’t fit then because if the estimation fails, it’s usually one of two reasons:

  1. you didn’t read the firmware settings into LB to increase preview precision
  2. your settings exceed the physical capabilities of the laser. 10,000mm/min is very fast and will only be reached in specific setups. If your project is only a few cm in size, the laser will never reach that speed and therefore the calculation is erroneous.

ok for the reading of the machine parameters and for the speed, but I have the same problem at 1000 as at 6000, but this “problem” does not always present itself according to the engraving algorithm, no problems with greyscale and semitones, but with jarvis and stucky.nothing annoying in fact lb 7.7.07

This usually also fits in the second category because for some image algorithms (especially grayscale) the amount of data to be transferred is higher than the bandwith of the USB connection. This should happen especially in grayscale, but that is working for you?

It just works the estimation of time which is capricious, but it doesn’t bother me, slowness is one of the keys to accuracy,
I really regularly do greyscale of several hours!
