TL-3120 vs Ruida

HI All,

I am looking for some opinions. I am looking at two lasers on ebay. The first, blue and white 7050, uses the TL-3120 and the 2nd, red and black, uses a ruida controller. It appears the TL-3120 is more recently supported by LB.

Is there much of a difference between the two controllers in general?

Is there features that one controller has over the other when using lightburn?

example links in case it is helpful.

What I do know is that the Ruida controller was the first controller to be supported by LightBurn. It is a very good controller, I have 2 of them, and love them. I am not sure what the feature differences are between them, but it seems that Ruida is like an industry standard, I see more Ruida controllers than any other type of DSP controller.

I have this one. From what I can tell it is the same as the red and black but has the pass through doors for engraving longer objects https://www.ebay.com/itm/Engraver-Cutter-w-USB-Interface-Laser-Engraving-Machine-60W-110V-CO2-New/201754063794?_trkparms=aid%3D222007%26algo%3DSIM.MBE%26ao%3D1%26asc%3D20180213162448%26meid%3Ddc0e3a1ee5de49359f13eca708103c30%26pid%3D100930%26rk%3D1%26rkt%3D8%26mehot%3Dpp%26sd%3D123663079684%26itm%3D201754063794&_trksid=p2349624.c100930.m5375

I’m not sure about the differences between the two but Mine ^^^ has performed without issue (I’ve had issues but all were no fault of the machine). It came very well packaged and tube was setup and perfectly aligned. I bought my rotary chuck separately. I paid for the lift gate which is a must unless you have a loading dock or forklift.

Thanks for the responses, the makerspace I belong to has the red China and a Boss. I like some of the mechanical aspects of the other laser. I guess I can always switch out to ruida if needed.
