Tool Layer Framing

Am I missing functionality or not using lightburn correctly for this - I want to use a Tool layer to keep objects aligned during layout, and leave the Tool Layer in place so all objects laser at the correct location using User Origin. BUT with this workflow I cannot frame individual objects, lightburn only frames the Tool Layer. Is this User Error? What am I missing?

Howdy, we need to see your project file and and a screenshot of the framing settings you are using.

Are you using a galvo?

Do not select the tool layer -or- under the cuts window turn off FRAME for the tool layer

Did you program the start from position you are using, ‘user origin’?

If you don’t want to include the tool layer while framing, disable it from framing in the cuts/layers window:
