I downloaded MM a day ago and I’ve been itching to try it out but I’ve fallen at the first hurdle. I can’t get my tool library to work, so without any tools I won’t be able to complete any jobs. I have filled out information on various end mills and v-bits as per the instructions, under the cnc tools menu, and saved a .tools file but this won’t load into the operations library window as this wants a .mmops file. If I create one of these from the operations library window, it will open but it is empty and I don’t see how to get tools into it. The default library is also a .tools file and it won’t load into the operations library window either. What is a .mmops file for? I’m at a loss as to what to do having spent hours going round in circles - am I missing something?
i just created a test lib (.tools) and then i looked at newly created tool in the operations tab and i can select it. did you load the new lib? mine version is asking to load a “ “.tools file
I’ve managed to make a .tools file, with several tools in it, saved it successfully but when i try to load it in the operations tab, it will not load. The loading is looking for a .mmops file not a .tools file. I’ve checked my file format in notpad and its the same as the default file, but no .tools files show up in the operations tab.
I have a word doc that has tool libraries and all code that can be modified to add your own tools.
If interested please contact me.
Will need to send to you via email since this form doesn’t allow doc files to be uploaded

I have just realised where I am going wrong, mixing up Operations Library tab and Operations tabs. I think I can see a way out of my problems as I’ve just found a couple of my tools! So onwards and upwards. Thanks for the response.
Thanks very much for this, it made me go back and look at the various tabs more closely and I found that I was mixing up Operations Library tab with Operations tab. I loaded up a file that I tried with the default tools and then found my own tool library - I had been looking in the wrong place entirely and your screenshot helped point me in the right direction. Not so much the tool library not loading as user error. Thanks for the response.
Thanks for the offer of this, although my problem has been solved I think I would still be interested un taking you up on this. Could you please email me a copy to –[ email address redacted ]– Thanks again.
It does if you add .txt to the filename. @nods should remove his email address.
