Toolhead travels to bottom right corner when starting a new job?

this is so weird. I’m using Millmage Pro demo mode, connecting to a Shapeoko 3XL CNC.

I’ve homed the machine (to the back right corner).

I then manually jog the head to the center of my workpiece, where I want it to start cutting, and I click the ‘home’ buttons to verify the Workpiece coords are 0,0,0.

I preview the workpath, frame the job, and even manually step through the GCode in Control Mode. All looks fine.

But when I click ‘start’, the first thing the gantry does is start moving down to the front right corner and crashes out (grinds as if it’s trying to continue traveling). I have to click ‘stop’ to force cancel the motion and send it back home.

any help?!?

does it do this in core 8 ?

i would open both core 8 and pro and check both settings and see if they all match

check zero point config 1st

have read of this thread might be of some help

which verion of pro are yuou using

Okay, I just tried it in Core 8, and it worked correctly.

Tried the exact same operation, with the exact same settings, in Core 9 Pre-Release RC7, and it failed – when clicking ‘start’, the spindle head tries to travel to the bottom right corner of the track where it eventually crashes out and I have to manually stop it.

Can you output the code to a save file and upload it here to review? You should be able to see any gcode issues in the gcode

if working in core id triple your settings in pro with setting’s in core ? see if they are the same
