Toshiba Laptop not Connecting

Hello all, I have a communications error between this Toshiba laptop running windows 7. Maybe someone will please help me. This pc has three USB ports on it. One is used for the mouse and the other is where the xtool d1 pro 20 watt is plugged in. The other is free. When I try and let Lightburn to find and detect the machine, it says port is all ready in use. There is nothing else connected to this pc. No scanners, cameras nothing. Is there some driver I need to install in the pc? Lightburn just says waiting for connection. Anyone else had this problem? What did you do to fix it? Below is what devise manager says,

universal serial bus controllers
generic USB Hub
generic USB Hub
intel(r) 6 series/c200 USB enhanced host controller-1C26
intel (r) 6 series/c200 USB enhanced host controller-1C2D
USB Composite devise
USB Root Hub
USB Root Hub

I have two other lasers hooked up tp a DELL tower, and they all found there own com ports. There is nothing free on this DELL, that is why I was trying to use this laptop. As I said, any help is appreciated. I am no computer wis.
Thanks,
Tim

i am assuming you have a OLm2 S2 version?
try these instructions

(ignore name on PDF is universal)

This may help too…

Start icon (lower left), Windows Administrative Tools, Computer Management, System Tools, Device Manager.

Device Manager
Sorry, my laser is 1000 miles away. This is all i had to show and tell.

Power up the PC, laser not connected, and get to this window. You should not see the Ports (COM & LPT) line. If you do, it means you have another serial USB device plugged in (unplug it). Now with this window visible and the laser powered up, plug in the laser USB cable. This line, and something indicating the laser is found, should appear. Make note of the COM #.

Thanks everyone. this evening I will look at this and see what I can find out. Like I said, my other two lasers are on another pc, I just plugged them in and they found their own com ports in Lightburn. when I plugged this xtool into this Toshiba notebook, the screen just says “device not found”. There was two printers set up, I deleted them, plugged in the laser and went to Lightburn, but never found. All that is plugged in to this notebook is a mouse only. In this post above, is what is available for any ports. I do not see anything in the device manager that says com port. I’m sorry to ask questions like this. B I will look into what ya’ll have suggested. I will post back later with what I find.
thanks,
tim

Please follow the PDF above and by the time your each the drop down that says ALL devices, take a picture of list them

Make sure to have your machine connected and powered on of course
or Machinesss if more than one

Well everyone, here is what happened on the xtool d1. It finally connected to com 3. This is the first time I have used this machine on this pc. In the device setting it is set up for xtool, and the table size is correct. I drew a square on the table and tried to frame it, and Lightburn just shows the laser as being disconnected and waiting for connection. Everything shows correct in Lightburn. As always, any help is appreciated.
