I have upgraded to 1.0.06. I love the TRACE feature of Lightburn and use it all the time.
Question: was it changed when LB was upgraded to 1.0.06?. Does it seem like it doesn’t trace images right when I paste them and pick trace?. In the past, I would paste the image, right-click, trace and maybe slide the sliders a little to capture the outline. Now I really have to move the sliders and then the results aren’t that great.
TIA.
Are you doing this with like-for-like source images? Would be interesting if you could try this with an older version of the software. I haven’t noticed anything in the brief time I tried this but I’m not a regular user of this feature on LightBurn.
Here I followed your steps. Drag image into LightBurn, select and right-click, Trace Image. Here is what I get almost instantly without touching anything on that Trace Image page.
@berainlb suggests a good way to check this observation. Try using the same art you have successfully traced before as a comparison. You can also drop back some versions of LightBurn to ensure things are working for you as expected. Let us know how that goes, and we can go from there.
I sure will. I would love to have a drop-down folder for ART LIBRARY so I can keep all my Christmas ART LIBRARY files in one folder but with sub folders…like the LIBRARY dows now…if you can work on that for me, that would be great…LOLOLOL…I have submitted it as a suggestion
We’ve had a bunch of requests for improvements to the art library, including a folder structure, tags with keyword search, and so on. We’ll likely do this, but current libraries would need to be converted to a new format to accommodate it, but we’re going to try to make that painless.
I wouldn’t expect it until sometime in the new year though - we have a few fairly big things coming with the next release or two, and some vendor requests to take care of.
