I am operating an Omtech Polar Lite 55W laser. I just got it about 2 weeks ago. It has the Ruida controller. I havve a HP computer running Windows 11, My version of lightburn is Pro 2.1.04 this issue is new I am trying to set up my laser and I cannot laser anything because I get this message
Transfer failed There was a problem sending data to the laser. The machine may be busy or paused. I don’t see any new post about this, they are all old and closed.
Did you see anything in those old posts that might help? Just because it is closed does not mean it is useless.
Unfortunatly no, the one post said that they only have this problem with a mac computer but with windows it works fine. the Other post said Ethernet vs mains ( I am not sure what mains means) the person said ditch that ASAP. so neither post was helpful.
The Ruida ia above my pay grade, but I will try to help until somebody with one jumps in.
- Are you using USB or Ethernet (recommended for your controller)?
- What do you see in the Console window when you power up and connect the laser.
If USB, I can ask more questions. 
I am using USB. I changed cables and hooked directly to the mother board like the asked still no change. I have been on the phone for 53 min. with Omtech they have no answers. Everything they have had me try doesn’t work. Now they want me to swop wires to things etc. not sure I want to do that. Super frustrating for a brand new machine not to work.
I don’t know if you have specialized firmware in the Ruida, but mine works substantially better when wired to the Ethernet port as @MikeyH advised.
I only use usb when there is no other option… AI says your laser is Ethernet compatible.
The advantage is all of the needed drivers for you machine should be there if you can access the Internet via your lan.
