We use a Mac and it’s seemed to crash if I buy a new laptop will our files and library transfer to the new device? Thanks
Migrating LightBurn has a few steps, we’ve produced a guide to walk you through it: Moving LightBurn To Another Computer - LightBurn Software Documentation
You will be making a few files so be sure you have a way to move them from computer to computer - a USB thumb drive, Email, or a cloud drive folder all work well. Saving these files somewhere permanently as a backup is also a good idea.

I can not access the free trial version in order to transfer libraries to the computer that I installed the paid version. I did download the .lbprefs file but it does not load into my tablet where the paid version is. Does the lbprefs file contain my previously built libraries?

You’ll need to copy them from where you saved them. You can use ‘Save As’ to locate where that is.
