Transferring Lightburn to the controller thru the connected USB cord

I’ve been using a HP3655 and Windows 7 for making phenolic labels for the last 6 months. I have multiple templates that I use on multiple Lightburn pages throughout the day and have a question on what the procedure is when moving from one page to another? Every time I change to a new page I have to unplug the data cord and plug it back in and then click on the devices tab and pick my laser USB cord to get the new page to work. Is there a method to use in the Lightburn program to change to a new page with out disconnecting and reconnecting the data cord? I have tried everything and can’t get anything to work except pulling the cord.

Just to check, you are selecting one of the ways to start a New LightBurn project, correct? image, hot key, or from the ‘File’ menu.

Holding the Shift key when hitting the ‘Devices’ button in the ‘Laser’ window should reset the connection, not requiring you to unplug and re-plug the USB cable.

I learn something new every day. And just an FYI, you have the patience of a Saint sometimes.

@Rick , I have not been using those methods to start out on a new page. I have been trying to get it to function this morning as you described and out of many tries on different new pages I was only able to get one page to frame the work on that page.
I am installing my template on a new sheet, holding down the SHIFT key and clicking the DEVICES button on the laser window and while still holding the shift key down clicking on the Trocen AWC in the window and hitting the OK button. Then I hit the Frame button and nothing happens or if I hit the start button it appears to do a quick download and then a window pops up saying there was a problem data to to the laser, the machine may be busy or paused or the transfer failed window pops up.

Sorry, it is Right-click of the ‘Devices’ button to reestablish the connection to the laser. You can do that as an independent action when you see that you are no longer connected.

I am not following your description of this workflow. You can post images to help us “see” what you are observing.

What is giving this impression? What are the exact steps you are taking? I want to try and reproduce the same here.

I will give it a try, thanks
