Transversal Lines Burning - Jtech 24w on a shapeoko 3 xxl

I’ve started getting transversal lines the last few days, and I’m stumped.. I’m not sure if something was reset after an update or if I’m overlooking something simple, but I could use some additional eyes on this. My setup is a Shapeoko 3 xxl with a Jtech 24W laser. It’s only used for the laser, and I run the laser macro as part of my start up routine. I’ve posted pictures of the settings and the output on a few burn tests today… Any help is appreciated.

In the console type $32=1

Thank you! I have to admit I feel like an idiot.. I swear I saw that multiple times while searching for this on the forums, and checked the settings at least twice.. I must have read the $31 setting instead of $32 somehow. The sad part is I literally have a note written in pencil " Laser: $32=1" on the workbench (next to the laser). .. getting old sucks  Thanks again

I’m having the same issue. When I use the original very basic software I got with my machine, these lines dont appear. They do in Lightburn. I tried the $32=1 in the console but it tells me its invalid.Any help would be much appreciated.

What version of GRBL did you select for your machine Device?

Hi Mikey, It was just GRBL, which I have now changed to GRBL 1.1 or earlier, and its working fine.

Glad you found a setting that got it working. Now go have some fun!
