Setup LightBurn with my Sainsmart 3018 Pro and 5.5w Sainsmart Laser. I like very much the design functionality of LightBurn. Out of the box connection without changing any GRBL settings was able to understand speed and power setting to create some nice designs on wood and slate. However, when I went to burn a test grid quickly learned about transversal lines. While there is a plethora of written instructions how to fix this, I have been unable to get to the point where there is no transversal lines and speed vs power works remotely the same as before making any changes. I have reset all my GRBL setting to original default and am moving forward living with the transversal lines.
Would seem to me that this is such a common problem for “newbies” to figure out you would address it in the software and make it easy for the novice?
I wish someone could simply tell me a list of all GRBL settings to eliminate transversal lines and have the same speed vs power functionality as before changing.
What you had previously set is not something we would know. Did you make a backup of these firmware settings prior to changing them? If so, you could use that to restore back to a known working state.
When you say you “reset to original default”, what does this mean, exactly? GRBL defaults are the starting point and most are adjusted for the system using it. Are you using the settings provided by your supplier when you first got things going?
