Should i gut my 200 hour Trotec 300 electronics? Its immaculate, and make a conversion kit for it?
I only paid $250aud at an auction for this amaxing machine? Yes you heard correct $250 for a speedy 300c with 200 hours. Still like lightburn way better than ruby.
First, make sure it operates. You do not want to discover you bought a $250 cabinet.
Speaking as an electronics guy and not a user/owner, everything I read says gut it. It appears you have a choice of a RuiDa or Trocen controller for Lightburn compatability.
Keep us posted on your progress!
I think it’s working, he’s just asking because he wants to use Lightburn.
You’d only be swapping out the controller, I believe everything should make a smooth transition.
Most of these are the same, sans controller. So it’s not too tough to swap them out. Some differences might be found. One of them is the laser enable signal, the Ruida and the lps expect a low on the L pin (H is the inverted input), whereas some produce a positive enable signal. Some controllers my allow the user to invert the signal. You can look at the lps and see if it’s wired to H or L.
My suggestion is to stick with Ruida.. Some of the newer ones are showing up and I’m sure Lightburn knows about them.
Good luck.
