Trouble loading files

This morning I tried to load a Lightburn file and the program freezes when trying to load files in any directory on my laptop. As soon as the directory window comes up it says “working on it” and freezes. Has anyone else had this problem?

Thanks,
Bill

Are any of these directories OFF the laptop, like DropBox, a file server, or cloud storage like OneDrive or iCloud?

They are all on the laptop. They are in folders on the home screen.

Did you double-click the .lbrn2 file or did you open Lightburn and try to open a selected file?

Windows or MAC?

I had Lightburn open then tried opening the Lightburn file. I am running Windows. It has to be something simple because it worked yesterday. Maybe something got corrupt. I may just try and reinstall Lightburn if I can’t figure it out soon.

That might work, it rarely does, but it is worth a try. Microsoft updates sometimes do not play well with others. I had a recent situation where I had to reinstall the C++ Redistributables after the MS Update. And it only happened on one of my 3 notebooks with Lightburn. Go figure!

Let us know if that clears it up.

Ended up reinstalling Lightburn and it seemed to solve the problem. I am happy that worked. Now I have work to do!

Great, glad to hear it was an easy fix.
