Trouble shooting Lightburn

I guess this is getting started again. I 've been running LB for a couple of fiber lasers and today I installed the driver for a 5W UV laser. After the install I was going to add the laser to LB but I couldn’t get LB to recognize the laser, in fact I can’t get any of my other lasers to connect.

What exact UV is it ?

Did you install the driver for EZCad? This driver cannot coexist with the existing Galvo.

You’ll need to perform the driver swap in order for LightBurn to talk to your laser. Follow our documentation here on how to do that: Galvo Driver Installation - LightBurn Documentation

We also have a video showing the process here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YbzSO20bSuA

Finally, if neither of those methods works, try doing the Zadig driver swap, as explained here: Zadig Driver Swap

Please let us know if you have any trouble after the above methods. If the driver swap doesn’t work, typically there is an issue with the physical connection path between your Galvo and your PC.

Hi Jeremy,

Thanks for the quick reply. I was in panic mode trying to get a couple of orders out. Updated the driver and LB recognized my previously installed laser and I added the new laser to the devices. I really appreciate your help and I love LB! BTW - I purchased a 5W SE JPT UV marking machine, nothing fancy but I am excited to get it up and running. Have a great weekend and thanks again!!
