I’ve got the Ruida 6445G and quite often I have trouble transferring sending a file over the network to it.
This can usually be solved by clicking the ‘get position’ button.
I know that ‘get position’ is a UDP command and it feels like this somehow wakes the controller ready to receive the new file (which I’m assuming is TCP transfer).
Would it be possible to automatically sneak that UDP message in before starting a file transfer?
Are you using WIFI? The Ruida uses UDP for everything, not TCP, so if a packet is dropped, the transfer fails. You can right-click the ‘Devices’ button in LightBurn to re-establish the connection to the device, but that also happens automatically when you click the ‘Start’ button.

Thanks for the fast response. It’s happening over WiFi and wired (less on the wired). It’s really odd though because it can fail a transfer several times on the trot but short command like move or get position kicks it back into life.
