i am trying to setup my operating system in lightburn to cut using registration marks and the problem i am having is it says to got to settings and enable laser fire button , well i do not have that option under settings so what do i do ?
That is found under devise settings.
That doesn’t appear for CO₂ lasers with Ruida controllers, which is what your profile says you have.
Because CO₂ lasers produce invisible IR light, there is no way to see where the beam will hit without damaging the material underneath. As a result, LightBurn removes the fire-while-framing and similar controls from the UI.
CO₂ lasers typically have a visible red-dot laser pointer to indicate where the beam will hit; they’re fussier than diode lasers, but work well when you take the time to align the visible spot with the invisible beam (which requires burning a few test scraps during the alignment).
With the red dot aligned, you then proceed to use the red dot instead of the (missing) Fire
button.
ok thank you , kinda what i figured but didnt know it didnt let you on co2
