I thought I had my Spider X1S laser and Lightburn setup. Apparently I dont, while in lightburn when I turn my laser on it just starts moving from the bottom edge of frame to the top frame and then grinds on frame until I turn laser off at the switch on laser. None of the controls have any effect on laser.

What does it do if you turn on the laser while it is NOT connected to the PC?
The laser stays in one spot. Once the connection from computer to laser is made the laser starts moving and wont stop till i manually turn laser off at switch.

Agreed. Probably this. And if you don’t have limit switches on the machine there is no reason for it to try to home.
It doesn’t home or it would home during it’s boot sequence. @GuysEtsy states it doesn’t move when it boots …
Usually if it’s not configured to home and you send the command, it will give you an error stating that homing is not configured…
So it’s rather confusing…
Mine would TRY to home before I added limit switches. And crash in the process. The machine itself didn’t home on boot since they didn’t intend it to when made, but LB would send a command when it connected and crash the head into origin corner. Even now that I do have switches the machine will not home when I power it up, but once LB connects it does.
I turned off auto homing. Seems to be behaving, lol
