i ended up using your picture of the Z Axis assy in correspondence to Two Trees as i had the same issue with those 2 screws coming loose … ended up using loctite to secure.
great way to spend the afternoon lol .. but best way to learn about the machine.
hi, i just have the very same setup. i cannot connect (yet) the laptop & cnc. could you provide me your machine profile please ? thank you (also where to put it)
What do you exactly mean? You just need to connect the machine and add it to MillMage. Type is grbl and that’s it. The dimensions of the workspace should be obvious.
hi, misken, the computer is 6m. away from cnc.
i ordered a shielded amplified usb cable.
in the meantime (to go a bit further) i created a ‘custom’ machine
i bought an amplified & shielded usb cable. the 340 (or 341) driver does seems to work on com4. when i connect the cnc with the cable, i hear the little music about a new usb connected
but now i do not see where i can connect a ‘new’ cnc so i can replace the ‘custom’ with the real machine.
another possibility is to get a config file from a user with the same machine ttc450 - pro with 500W spindle, also i suppose a non pro ttc450 will also go
Just click on the devices button from the job control window. There you can add as many machines as you like. Add it as grbl type, USB connection.
You don’t need any config. The machine config should be already set in the firmware. MillMage only asks for the general preferences like axis sizes, which you should find in the machine specs. You don’t need to do more.
dear Misken,
thank you for the help. i did forgot to set the baud rate to (was 9600).
but the program did not recognized automatically the printer. i had to create a custom cnc with usb.
so now, i could move the spindle x/y from the pc. (i forgot to test the z and spindle rotation)
the ‘cnc-world’ is opening to me
