I recently bought a Twotrees TTS-10 Pro Laser Engraving Machine,80W Diode Laser Engraver CNC is there a possibility you can assist by providing the best configuration for lightburn software when cutting acrylic and engraving on anodized aluminum. If anyone can be of assistance it will be much appreciated.
The settings can change from each machine even when they are similar.
The right thing to do is run a material test. That way you can achieve the best performance, and best results from your machine.
Be aware a diode laser will not cut clear acrylic and not some of the transparent ones either. Also make sur the plastic is laser safe and free from toxic fumes.
Thank you. I have realised it when I tried to cut a clear 3mm acrylic sheet. Was the worst choice ever and the smell was horrific. I then tried to use black acrylic paint as per online videos on both ends it end up cutting the sheet and also melting it at the bottom. Was also not a very smart move so recon. Clear acrylic is a no go with diode lasers. I see the 1.6mm TroLase material is working like a dream.
Thanks, did the tests on both materials. Acrylic is a no go. That doesn’t work. Anodized aluminum doesn’t even make a mark… xD. Think TroLase is better for the same purpose although it is a platic material.
Ok, clear acrylic with visible light diode laser only some engraving with some masking.
Anodized aliminum you should engrave, cut not so much.
I searched for your machine and it is a 10W optical laser. (double of mine).
This is a business card 0.2mm thick Test material done with my 5W laser machine a couple weeks ago.
So I dare to say you probably are doing something wrong. Do you have focused the laser beam?
I think you should definitely able to engrave anodized aluminum.
It could be, I know almost nothing from the laser just started for the first time a month ago. I’ll check the user manual for the allignment and settings then keep you posted.
Why is this sounds so familiar.
First lets try, then we read the instructions if it won’t work.
You might should start from here also.
