Forgive me this is my first post. I have a twotrees tts-55 which when set up on lightburn comes under the GRBL device setting. I recently got a new windows laptop (running windows 11) amd have jad to re-set up the laser.
Since doing this the laser has 2 issues now, it wont let mw set the laser to start from where i place it, and when i set origin as current laser position it picks up all items even those outside of the emgraving area.
The 2nd issue is that for some reason it is now homing and engraving backwards and i cant get it to move correctly. Is there anyone that has experienced this and or has any ideas on how to rectify?
I should add that i followed a youtube video by the offical twotrees page and it seems others have had the issue based on a couple of comments on there
Can you describe this behavior in more detail? Engraving backwards is usually a machine origin setting being incorrect, but homing is a function of the laser firmware, so unless you changed those settings it should still home to the front left corner where the limit switches are.
Just as a follow on, it looks like for some reason my status config in the machine settings was set to laser position, but when changed to workspace position it only picks up the items in the workspace area, as opposed to having to select specific graphics
Also looks like the x and y homing and pin switches were inverted so that sorted it by the looks of it. I hope this helps others in the future
