Can anyone advise if dfx will ever be fixed? I keep paying for licenses yet the software never works. Im getting seriously aggravated. There are so many posts from users having constand dfx issues, yet no actual fix. None of the tips or tricks ever work, and the worst part is you can manually select every shape and clearly see its a complete path.
If you’d like to attach one of your problematic DXF files and give us some more detail on what’s not working then the community can take a look and see if they can help.
I use Lightburn primarily as a DXF import from a CAD program. I don’t have any problems with using DXF and LB. What program are you using to create DXF files?
Very important question. Like PDF, there is a boatload of DXF formats being used out there.
Typically fusion, but ive also.tried conversions to pdf, svg as well. Ive tried the inkscape reimport options, the auto join and join tolerance options. The extrude and project options, nothing ever works. Lightburn always says every path is not connected. Auto jiin will fix some but there are always numerous ones that never are seen as closed. Yet if you select a path/shape in Lightburn it shows everything is connected. And if you try to preview, and select the show option for the disconnected paths, nothing gets selected.
I just don’t understand why this is always an issue. The files work fine in fusion, solid works, vinyl cutter applications, and numerous image applications, and none of them process the files with incomplete paths.
Can you post a DXF file from Fusion that you have a problem importing into LB?
