I am new to lasers and have just purchased a WeCreat Vista. I am on the trial for Lightburn, however, when clicking on find my device, my machine kicks on as if it’s been found but it goes no further. This is the second day I’ve tried. I am running on a Macbook Pro on Monterey if that helps. Any help would be greatly appreciated, I’ve heard great things about lightburn and am looking forward to trying it out. And yes, I have it connected via USB
Are you able to connect with the WeCreate software?
yes, I’ve been using the laser with the wecreat software without issue. Just cannot get the lightburn sw to recognize the machine
You need to be sure and disconnect from the wecreate software before connecting to Lightburn. The connection can only support one at a time.
Did wecreate supply a .lbdev file? That is the setup file for Lightburn.
Warm greetings and welcome, this is for Vision but check if it helps:
I was not logged into WeCreat only Lightburn. Yes they did supply a file but I need to connect with Lightburn before I can import it. When I click find my laser, my laser sounds like its doing something but then the progress bar just gets stuck
Don’t use the find my laser function.
Open Lightburn, drag and drop the .lbdev file into the work area of Lightburn. Lightburn will create the device profile. You should be able to select that profile and select the USB port your device is connected to.
ok let me give it a try, thank you
it worked, thank you very much…now on to figuring out how to set it all up!
