Unable to resolve this issue

After I pressed the STOP (panic button), my Neje 3 Max has started showing this error.

"ALARM:3
Reset while in motion. Grbl cannot guarantee position. Lost steps are likely. Re-homing is highly recommended."

After each job and the laser has to return to the Home Position, there are a lot of unpleasant sounds.

I have read and read around the web without my problem being solved.

Need help.

Why did you have to press the STOP button? The issue you’re having now is not likely directly related to pressing the STOP button. However, I assume you hit the button for a reason which may be contributing to the current issue.

One thing to try is to dramatically slow your speed settings. Do you still have issues?

In my experience, if the laser head is too close to the home position, the motors will crash before the sensor can pickup its location and feed it back to the computer.

When I hit the panic button, I then turn off the laser completely and slowly move the gantry and laser head to near the middle of the workspace. Then turn the laser back on and allow it to home. If in doubt, turn it off and turn it back on again. Tech 101.

I spent 45 years in the aerospace industry (Eastern & Western Missile Ranges), and to this day my wife still doesn’t believe that’s a viable troubleshooting technique. Always start with a master reset.

Then make sure it’s plugged in …

Well, we are not all Rocket Scientists.

Hardware hard reset works for me most of the time.

The guy who sat next to me on console would occasionally wear his “Yes, as a matter of fact, I am a Rocket Scientist” T-shirt. I always thought it was a bit tacky.
