Unable to Weld Shapes

Trying to weld two shapes together in this file. But must be doing something wrong. If you look at the picture I was able to do the two bars below the top one but for the life of me i cant weld the two marked with the arrow together. Any ideas

Hi Loren,

The two green shapes are not touching. This is needed for the Boolean Tools to work.

Align the two rectangles and it will work:

Thanks, that worked. Thought I had them touching but I guess not.
