Ungrouping Parts of a pdf File

I am doing a project in which I want to use my Atomstack Laser cutter to do some work on some plywood gears.
The project is in a magazine, so I copied the gear spec. using my printer, which results in a PDF (.pdf) file. I cannot upload this file to the forum!!
I imported the .pdf file into Lightburn and tried to eliminate the parts of the drawing that are not of interest (all text, other structures in the drawing, etc).
I cannot figure out how to ungroup items on the page so I can delete them, Everything on the drawing seems to be treated as a whole. What can I do?

You can append .txt to the end of your file, which can be posted here. Once we can see the file, we may have some suggestions or workflows we can offer.

Could you not just trace the image and delete what you don’t need…Or am I missing something…

You can also take a try at using the Mask function to carve out the pieces of the PDF that you don’t want to keep.

Thanks for responding to my query. I’ve attached the pdf file so you can see the problem I’m trying to solve.

I have purchased Inkscape and then Carbide Create in an attempt to find a program that could manipulate pdf files into a format that can be
Edited and used by Lightburn.

Hi Merlin,
I did as someone suggeste and appended a .txt to the pdf file but somehow Windows Edge transformed the file into something that could only be read by Edge.
Let me try this again.
