I have a 30wat fiber laser. I have used this for over a year on lightburn with no problems. 6 months ago LightBurn stated unrecognized board signature 0000208409002002 and i made a post about it. No successes on fixing it. I’ve made it work at times, but now there is nothing i can do.
I got a new cord, doesn’t help.
I followed instructions that someone else posted, nothing different.
It goes from framming to disconnect over and over, even when i dont click on frame. At this point I’m just going to buy a new board…
You seem to be using an older version of LightBurn? 1.5.01 was a version that did not auto-update so I recommend you download and install the current trial version from our website - it will update your LightBurn to 1.7.08 without affecting your settings.
What does the galvo device look like in Windows Device Manager? does it show up in the ‘Universal Serial Bus devices’ list? Or somewhere else?
The board signature may not read very well if the USB bus is insufficiently powered (read that somewhere here but can’t find the reference now), so try using a different USB port (e.g. from back of computer instead of front, or from an externally powered USB hub).
Regarding a candidate for board replacement, it might help to get a good closeup photo of your existing board first. Ideally showing model & revision number.
Thank you for your help, I’ll try and download the update. I purchased the lighburn software, if I download the update, do I need to purchase it again?
Also, here is the device manager. I’ll open the laser up to get a picture of the board today/tomorrow.
