Up grading to the newest LightBurn software

When I opened the LightBurn software today I received a notice that a newer version was available and did I want to download it. When I clicked yes this message appeared; “objects.gothubusercontent.com”. What does that mean and why would I want to get the newest version of LightBurn by clicking on? Is there some other way of getting the newest version of LightBurn? Sorry, I am technologically challenged.

LightBurn hosts their releases on github. In fact, you can view all their releases and download older releases as you like:
Releases · LightBurnSoftware/deployment · GitHub

Newer versions of LightBurn include feature enhancements as well as bug fixes. It’s generally a good idea to upgrade. If you want to be conservative, you can hold off on upgrades unless there’s something specific you want (either a feature or a bugfix). The good news, again, is that you can always go back to an older version.
